Derek Sullivan assumes Presidency of BFN for 2013-14 - April 30, 2013

Derek Sullivan became the President of
Business Fredericton North at the April 11th
Annual General Meeting. Mr. Sullivan has been a member of the BFN Board of Directors on two different occasions and joined the BFN Executive as 1st in 2012.

Derek Sullivan is the owner of Auto City which has been operating at 40 Main Street, Fredericton north for the past six years.  Derek grew up watching his father own and manage a car dealership and he knew someday he would like to do the same. Derek purchased and took over the company in 2006, doing many upgrades and changes to the business which in return has lead the business to triple in size.

Derek is 100% dedicated to the car business and is constantly educating himself about the car business to bring new innovative ways to purchase a used vehicle. In 2009, Derek won a prestigious award from the Chamber of Commerce for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’.


As BFN President, Mr. Sullivan is committed to working with BFN members and partners. Issues such as the new urban design plan for the BIA, continuing to enhance BFN’s profile in the community, completion of construction of the Mitch Clarke Nasis’ Park and maintaining a focus on economic development and positive growth of the BIA are high priorities for the 2013-2014 term.
