Princess Margaret Bridge Closure

This is a friendly reminder about the closure of the Bridge today at 2pm this afternoon. It will be closed for 5 weeks while they perform Phase 2 of the Princess Margaret Bridge rehabilitation project which involve removing and replacing bridge beams, deck and guardrails, as well as other key upgrades. In an effort to keep motorists informed, bridge updates and web camera views of the Westmorland Street Bridge are now available on the municipal and provincial web sites at www.gnb.ca/transportation. The goal is to keep the public informed of motor vehicle collisions, breakdowns and other kinds of disruptions. This information will be forwarded to local radio stations and broadcast on Information Radio 93.3 FM. Motorists are reminded to observe the Westmorland Street Bridge speed limit and drive carefully.
